Dr. Alison Lyons
Dr Lyons has always had an interest in nutrition and Integrative Medicine and is excited to be now offering this to the area and greater community.
Dr Lyons received her medical degree from Imperial College London, England in 1999. She received a degree in Clinical Infectious Disease’s from the University of London also during this time.
Dr Lyons moved to Western Australia in 2001 and spent several years working in the Emergency Department where she developed her skills in various areas of Medicine.
Dr Lyons has been practicing as a General Practitioner since 2005 and in that time has had a great deal of experience, particularly during minor procedures.
As a General Practitioner Dr Lyons values an integrative approach to health care. Dr Lyons practices appropriate & safe evidence based medicine, with a particular focus on prevention & lifestyle interventions.
Dr Alison Lyons has extensive knowledge and experience in Nutritional Medicine, Women’s Health, Hormonal Imbalance and all area of General Practice and loves continuing study and up-skilling in these areas.
Dr Lyons blends the use of conventional medicine and evidence based complementary medicines & therapies with the aim of using the most appropriate of either or both modalities to care for the patient as a whole.
Her special interests are Paediatrics, Women’s health, Weight disorders, Insulin Resistance, Syndrome and Diabetes, Aged Care, Mental Health, Thyroid and hormone issues & Paediatric behavioural disorders.
Dr Lyons has undertaken training with the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine (ACNEM) In addition, she has undertaken specific training in their specific areas of interest including: Injectable Nutrients, Gut Microbiome, hormones, brain health and much more.
Dr Lyons is highly regarded and sought after for her expertise and experience working as a General Practitioner who follows an Integrative Medicine approach. Dr Lyons incorporates general medicine with the latest in evidenced based functional testing to help her patients get to the root cause of their health issues.
